On February 22, 2013, at approximately 1:10 a.m., a Davis Police Officer observed 23 year old Daniel Rodriguez acting aggressively and challenging others to fight at Tres Hermanas, a local nighttime drinking establishment. When the officer intervened, Rodriguez pushed the officer. This resulted in a struggle between the officer and Rodriguez. While taking Rodriguez into custody, a second male, Jose Munoz, a 21 year old Winters resident, intervened to try and free Rodriguez. Both subject were eventually taken into custody and were later lodged at the Yolo County Jail.
Daniel Rodriguez was lodged for resisting arrest with violence and battery on a peace officer.
Jose Munoz was lodged for making criminal threats.
